1. Introduction

This Warranty Policy sets out the terms under which East Yorkshire Retrofit Solutions Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides warranty cover on the parts and labour we supply. It applies to both consumer and business customers, unless otherwise stated.

This warranty is offered in addition to your statutory rights under UK law, which remain unaffected. Consumers have legal rights in relation to faulty goods and services under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and related legislation.


2. Warranty Coverage

  • All parts and labour supplied by East Yorkshire Retrofit Solutions Ltd are covered by a 24-month warranty from the date of completion of the original work. (Unless otherwise stated)

  • This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that arise during normal use.


3. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Accidental damage, misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance.

  • Any modifications, tampering, or repairs carried out by third parties without our prior written consent.

  • Software updates, coding, or adaptations performed after installation.

  • Situations where the vehicle has been altered in a way that affects the installed parts or software.

If the vehicle is taken to a third party and as a result software coding is undone, features are removed, or licences are lost, we reserve the right to charge a fair and reasonable fee to reinstate functionality.


4. Customer Responsibilities

  • The customer must return the vehicle or components to us for investigation if a warranty claim arises.

  • The cost of delivering or returning the vehicle/components to us is the customer’s responsibility.

  • We will not reimburse costs for diagnostic or repair work carried out elsewhere without our prior written agreement.


5. Our Process and Remedy

  • We are entitled to one opportunity to investigate the reported fault.

  • Where a valid warranty claim is established, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the affected part(s) or rectify the labour.

  • Only if repair or replacement is not possible within a reasonable time may a refund be offered.


6. Business Customers (B2B)

Where the customer is acting in the course of a business, this warranty is provided on the same 24-month terms. However, statutory consumer protections under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 do not apply to business customers.


7. Statutory Rights

This warranty is offered in addition to, and does not replace or limit, your legal rights.

  • Consumers: You may have up to 6 years to bring claims for faulty goods under UK law.

  • Businesses: Your rights are limited to those set out in contract law and this warranty.
